Herman John Lueckenotte, 84, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, in Hewitt, Texas with his family by his side.
He was born December 28, 1939, in St. Thomas, Missouri, the son of Felix and Regina (Wolken) Lueckenotte.
Herman served in the United States Army Reserve from 1958-1964.
Herman worked for many years as a Bus and Medical transport driver.
He was a Pilot and enjoyed anything that had to do with the airline industry. He tried for several years to start an airline in Jefferson City. He also loved vehicles and when he bought one, he would also buy the scale models of them. He loved music and dancing and played guitar most of his life.
Survivors include his sons, Bryan & Deanna Lueckenotte, Gatesville, Texas; John Lueckenotte, Littleton Colorado; siblings Richard Lueckenotte, Don Lueckenotte, Mary Catherine (Lueckenotte) Bexton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Regina Lueckenotte; and a son, Rodney Lueckenotte.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City. A graveside will follow at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Cemetery in St. Thomas, Missouri with the Rev. Daniel Lueckenotte officiating.
