Hilda Anna Niekamp, 89, of Jefferson City, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Adams Street Place.
She was born on Feb.. 18, 1921, in Koeltztown, Mo., the daughter of the late Henry and Sophie Utrecht Juergensmeyer. She was married on Sept. 24, 1945, in Jefferson City to Charles Niekamp who preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 2010. A homemaker all her life, Hilda was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality, and the Happy Nine Card Club.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel C. (Linda) Niekamp, and Nicholas J. Niekamp, both of Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Katherine Niekamp, St. Louis; and Laura Niekamp, Jefferson City; one sister, Marcella Smith, Troy, Mo; and one sister-in-law, Jo Juergensmeyer, Flint Hill, Mo. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Oscar, and Wilfred Juergensmeyer; and her daughter-in-law, Ann Niekamp.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Philip E. Niekamp officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30th, at the church. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Compassus, 600 Monroe Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
