Imre Joseph Komaromi

He was born in Voklabruck, Austria to Imre Komaromi and Irene Aldesku Komaromi. His mother survives in Jefferson City. Other survivors include one son, Imre E. "Tad" Komaromi, Jefferson City; one daughter, Ann L. Komaromi, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter; two brothers, Leslie J. Komaromi, St. Louis; and Stephen J. Komaromi, Jefferson City; and two sisters, Elizabeth Simons, Columbia; and Margaret K. Gooch, Hartsburg. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Memorials are suggested to Community Blood Center; or ABLE Learning Center, 214 E. Miller Street, Room 206, Jefferson City, MO 65101. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a 1964 graduate of Helias High School; a graduate of Lincoln University; and received a Master of Arts in Education degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He was employed as a claims representative with the Social Security Administration; and later served as an educator with the Missouri Department of Corrections.
