I had the pleasure of working with Jackson through the aquatic department of Jefferson City Parks & Recreation for many years. Jackson was not only one of our most reliable coworkers, but he was a leader and a great friend to everyone on staff. I will never forget his smile and playful attitude at work, he made the pools a better place and impacted everyone around him. I’m so thankful for all the years I got to work alongside Jackson, as I’m sure everyone else is too. He will be so dearly missed at both Memorial and Ellis Porter pools. Sending lots of love and prayers from your JC Parks Pool Family❤️
Jackson was always nice to me. I knew Aleksandr first and met Jackson through Aleksandr. I told him I knew Aleksandr and he goes” that little turd bucket” I know how much his family loves him and I want them to know all my love and support goes to them.
Our hearts are breaking for your family and for Jackson. We are so thankful Jackson and Alex became teammates, co-workers, and most of all friends. He will be so missed. Wishing comfort and healing to your entire family.
He had the best smile of anyone i knew. He always made you feel important no matter who else was around. Jackson was a great friend and I will remember him always.
I remember Jackson the night he was confirmed, with my daughter, in March. It was after confirmation at the cookie/punch reception, he held the door open for a large group of people and was just so helpful. I remember telling Bailey, my daughter, how helpful he was. My heart is breaking for the family.
All around a great and enthusiastic kid. He was always a positive and encouraging presence to teammates and friends. Sending prayers for Jackson and the whole family.

Jackson was like a big brother to me. He was a great role model and person. I will always look up to him and never forget him.
Me and Jackson went to boys state together and loved every minute of it. We laughed for hours and made so many memories. He was like a brother to me.
I went to Frasatti Fraternity with Jackson. His smile and kindness is something I will never forget. Thank you for treating all of us like family. Regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, etc. Jackson still was kind to everyone. I will never forget you, Jackson.
I went to Boys State with Jackson, he was the most determined, kind, and artistic person I have ever met. We spent hours in the hall making a city and just having fun. I’m really going to miss how he listened to everyone. I really am going to miss him

To the family and friends of Jackson Careaga from LLew and Marilyn Goodfield. Jackson We remember your first visit to Ivy Oaks when you came out with your siblings. It was the 5 of you and your parents. Maxim had not been born yet. I still have a picture of you and your siblings sitting on the Carpinteria Beach. It is next to my computer under the desk glass so I look at it every it every day. You and Nikolai would press your noses against the glass on the back door of the ‘Old House’ where Uncle Graham’s Grandma and Grandma used to live. As soon as you saw me come out my back door you would burst out laughing and we would play. What wonderful fun to have you here. I got to spend time at your family home when I came out with Aunt Hannah to help look after you while your parent’s went on a trip. I loved it and I feel like I watched you grow up into a fine (and very handsome) young man. Aunt Hannah has told of your activities and what a wonderful athlete you became. Both LLew and I are proud to have known you for your brief time on earth. From reading the letters from all who knew you , you were and always will be deeply loved and admired. Our prayers go with you LLew and Marilyn We will send a donation in your honor to your Helias Wrestling Team. wrestling team

My name is Jonah Sanford and I got the pleasure to attend Missouri Boys State with Jackson. He was one of the most kind, caring, and compassionate people that I have ever met. In only a week he became one of my closest friends and we talked often after Boy’s State ended. He will be dearly missed and my thoughts and prayers are extended to his family and friends.
