James Duane Leggett, Sr., 67, of Jefferson City, Mo died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at St. Mary’s Health Center. He was born on November 8, 1941, in Clinton, Il., the son of James Forbes and Melba Amelia Wright Leggett. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was united in marriage on August 23, 1971, in Bloomington, Il., to Janice Kay Gehrt who survives in Jefferson City, Mo. Mr. Leggett worked for Qualxserv as a computer technician. Other survivors include: one son, James Leggett, Jr., Jefferson City; two uncles, Clyde Orin Leggett, Jr., Wapella, Il.; Boyd Leggett, Bloomington, Il.; two special aunts, Anne Martin, Tucson, Ariz.; and Joyce Leggett, Joliet, Il.; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
