SMSGT James Eugene Beckelhimer, US Air Force (Ret.), 71, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, December 04, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born on October 8, 1942, in Glenn Rogers, West Virginia, the son of the late Azel and Lucille (Ferguson) Beckelhimer. He was united in marriage on September 14, 1963, in Belton, Missouri to Mary Ann Wink who survives at the home. Senior Master Sergeant Beckelhimer served his country in the United States Air Force for over 24 years. He served in two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. SMSGT Beckelhimer enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors in general. Other survivors include: two daughters, Lora (Kevin) Blaney, Troy, IL; Lisa Elrod, Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Ryan Blaney and Natalie Elrod; and four siblings, Melvin (Tina) Beckelhimer, Florida; Kenny Beckelhimer, Maryland; Virginia (Joe) Brown, West Virginia; and Margaret Zawitoski, Maryland. Private services with military honors will be held for the family at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.   1. As I mourn the loss of my little brother I keep thinking of what a compassionate, generous and loving person he was. I am sure that he will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
