James Lee Clemons, 69, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, September, 19, 2007, at his residence. He was born July 5, 1938 in Williamston, NC the son of Joe Lee and Alice Mae Clemons. He was united in marriage on December 16, 1965, in Mound Bayou, MS to Dorothy Stwart Clemons who survives at the home. A veteran of the Unites States Army, James was a member of the Baptist Faith. James enjoyed fishing and traveling. Other survivors include: two sons and their wives, James Lee Jr. and Karen Clemons, Jefferson City; Levorne and Renette Clemons, Peoria, IL; one granddaughter, Sydney Clemons; three step grandchildren, Tina Crowe, Joel Buschman, and Rebecca Buschman; 5 step great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Allie Roberson, Rosa Purvis, Hattie Ruffin, Sadie Clemons, and Josephine Clemons, all of Williamston, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter. Graveside services with military honors will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Veterans Nursing Homes. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
