I worked in the Trust Department of Boone County National Bank (now known as Central Bank of Boone County) many years ago. Lowell worked at Phillips and Company at that time. On a regular basis he made business transactions on their behalf. I always appreciated his professional demeanor. He was pleasant and very detail oriented. Was always a pleasure to work with him. I am thankful to God for the many years that I have known Lowell Scott. I enjoyed doing computer work for him while he worked at Atkins. I enjoyed serving with him on the creation of the Salt Shakers single over 40 group. I was pleased when I heard that he and Wonda Barnes, who I had known from the VA Hospital, had married. I always enjoyed meeting this fine couple when our paths would cross over the years. Our sympathy and prayers to both families during this difficult time of adjustment.
I had the honor of being Kim’s friend and spending time with the Scott family as a young person. Their home was always filled with serenity, gentleness, kindness and love. When visiting Columbia in recent years, I would look forward to seeing Jim and Wanda at Parkade to be greeted with a big smile and warm sincere hug. Jim will always hold a special place in my heart and memories and I will miss having the opportunity to see him and experience the genuine love he so freely gave. My thoughts are prayers go out to each of the family members and loved ones during this time of immense loss.
