Janann Dorothy Ann Reistad, 87, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Oak Tree Villas.
She was born on August 22, 1923, in Muscoda, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Alvan Edward and Dorothy Marie Frye Morava. She was united in marriage on March 14, 1945, in Muscoda, Wis., to James M. Reistad who preceded her in death on January 1, 1997. A homemaker most of her life, Ann was a member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Newcomers X Club and Antique Club, Order of Eastern Star, W.W.II 10th Infantry Auxiliary, Bittersweet Garden Club, and St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary. She was also an avid bridge player.
Survivors include: two children, Paulette (Ralph) Strader, Jefferson City; James (Heidi) Reistad, II, Plainfield, Ind.; six grandchildren, Maggie (Ryan) Hartman, Jenny Strader, Anna Reistad, Jay Reistad, Kelly (Sheri) Reistad, Matt Reistad; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Delores Hardy, Richland Center Wis. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Kinyon.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Rev. Kent W. Trimble officiating. Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation, Runge Nature Center Butterfly Garden, P.O.
