Janet Gayle Milburn, 61, of Taos, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on Aug. 16, 1944, in Ft. Worth, TX, the daughter of George W. and Mazell McCormick Minter. Her father survives in Farmington, NM. She was married on April 26, 1975, in Ft. Riley, KS, to David Duane Milburn who survives at the home. Mrs. Milburn was a 1962 graduate of Farmington, NM, High School and received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Ft. Lewis College, Durango, CO, in 1967. From 1967 to 1970 she taught at Farmington Junior High School before serving as a Captain with the United States Army from 1970 to 1980. She retired in 2003 as Corrections Supervisor with the Missouri Department of Corrections Church Farm facility where she had been employed for sixteen years. She was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. She was an avid golfer and member of the Redfield Country Club in Eugene. She was also a member of the American Legion. Other survivors include two aunts, Evelyn Morrow and her husband, Don, of Brigham City, UT; and Jessie Kivel, Houston, TX. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Jefferson City, with Chaplain Bruce Guile of the Alcoa Correctional Center officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21st, at the funeral home.
