Jason Lee Welch, 31 of Jefferson City, died Sunday, July 23, 2006, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on April 3, 1975 in Jefferson City, the son of Larry Don Welch and Dianna Lynn Scheppers Welch. His mother survives. Jason was employed as a foreman for many years with Septagon Construction, Jefferson City. He was a member of the Cathedral of Saint Joseph. Other survivors include one sister, Jessica Lynn Welch, St. Louis; maternal grandmother, Alvina Scheppers, Jefferson City; paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Donald and Dorothy Dot Welch, Jefferson City; one nephew, Damion Willis, St. Louis; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandfather, Albert W. Scheppers; his grandmother, Catherine C. Welch; and his uncle, Keith A. Distler. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Cathedral of Saint Joseph with the Rev. Joseph L. Shetler officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 26th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to an Educational Fund for Damion Willis, c/o Employment Security Credit Union, 400 E.
