Jerome Francis Thiele, 50, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at his residence. He was born on April 22, 1958, in Neligh, Neb., the son of John Joseph and Elizabeth Ann Schindler Thiele. His parents survive in Clearwater, Neb. He was united in marriage on July 17, 1998, in Jefferson City to Toni Jene Hinman who survives at the home. Jerome worked for the State of Missouri as a computer programmer. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Jerome was active with Boy Scouts with his son Matthew and an honorary life-time member of Jaycees. He enjoyed going home to Nebraska to the family farm. He greatly loved spending time with his family and friends. Other survivors include: one son, Matthew Thiele, of the home; two step-children, Jesse and Alexandria, of the home; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Bob Knapp, Omaha, Neb.; Rosemary and Walt Patras, Tilden, Neb.; Patricia and Terry Hemenway, Orchard, Neb.; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Maurice and Teresa Thiele, Omaha, Neb.; Fred and Deb Thiele, Clearwater, Neb.; Chuck and Barb Thiele, Lincoln, Neb.; Ray and Julia Thiele, Omaha, Neb.; Rick and Kathy Thiele, Collierville, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Tammy Wendte, South Sioux City, Neb.; two brothers-in-law, Pete (Traci) Johnson, Sioux City, Iowa; Gary Wendte, South Sioux City, Neb.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and a nephew, Alex Thiele. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Donald W. Lammers officiating. Burial will be in Clearwater, Neb. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Jerome Thieles family to be used for the childrens educational fund; or to a charity of the donors choice.
