JEROME JOSEPH HOLZER, 75, of Wardsville, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on December 19, 1928 in Henley, MO, the son of Phillip Jacob and Mary Ann Hake Holzer. He was married on August 22, 1953 in Marys Home, MO, to Erma Christine Lootens who survives at the home. Other survivors include three sons and their wives, Michael & Goldie Holzer, Holts Summit; Marvin and Sandra Holzer, Wardsville; and Gerald and Karla Holzer, Wardsville; two daughters and one son-in-law, Norma Wieberg, Wardsville; and Velma and Michael Bernskoetter, Wardsville; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Holzer, Taos; seventeen grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a step-sister, Deloris Holzer, Jefferson City. Mr. Holzer was preceded in death by a son, Alan Holzer; a granddaughter, Jennifer Wieberg; eight brothers; and seven sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville, with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Wardsville. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Stanislaus Education Foundation, 6414 Route W, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or to a charity of the donors choice. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville; the Over-fifty Club; Roy Sone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1003; and the Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post No. 5.
