John Isaac Brockman, 82, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

He was born June 30, 1940, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of the late John “Jake” and Julia J. (Rodden) Brockman.

He was a 1958 graduate of Jefferson City High School.

John worked as a plumber for many years with the Local 562 Plumbers and Pipefitters.  In his spare time, John enjoyed cutting wood and clearing brush.

Survivors include three children, Joe (Lori) Brockman, Russellville; Karen (Don) Couch, Virginia Beach, VA; Frank (Brenda) Brockman, Virginia Beach, VA; nine grandchildren, Heather Bradley, Jennifer Madden, Donnie Couch, Courtney Pfahl, Lucas Brockman, Tyler Brockman, Jake Brockman, John Boyce, George Boyce; six great-grandchildren; Maya, Katelyn, Ethan, Eris, Isaac, Charlotte; a daughter-in-law, Kim Brockman; a brother-in-law, Emmit Coots, Jefferson City; one niece; and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, William “Bill” Brockman; and three sisters, Pauline (Tom) Rhodes; Ethel (John) Hartman; Mary Jane Coots.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Diane Peck Memorial Sanctuary at Riverview Cemetery with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the Central Missouri Honor Flight.
