John Hugo Baepler, 80, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at Oak Tree Villas.

He was born April 10, 1941, in St. Louis, to Gerhard Henry Andrew and Hazel Bernice (Gardner) Baepler.

A 1960 graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, John received his electronic technician certification from Ranken Technical College in 1962.

John served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966.

He was united in marriage on April 10, 1971, at the Hopewell Union Church, Barnett, Missouri to Connie Jean Henderson, who survives at the home.

John was an electronic technician for various Jefferson City companies maintaining business machines throughout central Missouri.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and had served on their board of church properties; and was on the Jamestown C-1 School Board in earlier years.

He volunteered at River City Habitat for the Humanity Restore and Salvation Army Thrift Store. He enjoyed reading but his favorite times were spent at their lake house with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; three children, Mark (Laura) Baepler, Jamestown; Mike (Regina) Baepler, Jamestown; and Laura (Kenny) Falter, Freeburg; thirteen grandchildren, Emma Baepler, Luke Baepler, Marie Baepler, Clara Baepler, Sarah Baepler, William Baepler, Abraham Baepler, Abigail Baepler, Noah Baepler, Elisabeth Baepler, Anna Baepler, Lilyann Falter, and Elsie Falter; one sister, Joan (Bob) Agne, St. Louis; and a niece, Anne Agne, St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Waylon Falter; and a nephew Robert Agne.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Gledhill officiating.

Burial will follow in Hopewell Union Cemetery near Versailles.

Memorials are suggested to the Hopewell Union Cemetery Association.

Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
