Joseph Paul Schwarzer

He was born in Jefferson City to Rudolph Schwarzer and Marie Hadwick Schwarzer. He was married on October 14, 1944 in St. Martins to Anna Margaret Schwarzer who died on January 30, 1996. Survivors include two sons, Larry Schwarzer and John Schwarzer, both of Centertown; three daughters, Rose Ann Bemboom, Philpot, Kentucky; Mary Boyd, Holts Summit; and Ruth Ziegler, Tallahassee, Florida; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five step-great -grandchildren; one sister, Rose Schwarzer and one brother, August Schwarzer, both of Jefferson City. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus; the Fifty-Plus Club; the Parish Council; and was a member of the building committee when the church was constructed in 1967. Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic Parish. He attended Coyne Electric School in Chicago. He was employed with Wagner Electric Company, St. Louis; and Petry Motor Service, Linsenbardt Electric Motor Service, and Wagner Motor Service, all of Jefferson City. He later worked in the maintenance departments of the Jefferson Building and the former Still Hospital.
