Josephine Agnes Jo-Jo Roettgen, 80, of Jefferson City, died Friday, March 12, 2004, at her residence. She was born on May 13, 1923 in Frankenstein, MO, the daughter of J. Gus and Nellie Haslag Kremer. She was married on May 13, 1947 in Frankenstein to William Joseph Roettgen who died on February 14, 1996. Survivors include five sons, Leslie A. Roettgen, Columbus, IN; Nelson J. Roettgen, Leroy W. Roettgen, and Carl F. Roettgen, all of Jefferson City; and Joseph A. Roettgen, Lees Summit; two daughters, Arlene M. Bruce, Jefferson City; and Joyce C. Gearhart, Bartlett, TN; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Betty Brandt, Linn; Martha Backes and Gertrude Broker, both of Frankenstein; and Pauline Thoenen, Westphalia. She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Masses. A homemaker, Jo-Jo provided child care services from her home for thirty years to over two hundred children. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jefferson City; St. Anns Sodality; St. Anns Quilting Circle; Immaculate Conception Church Prayer Line; Sacred Heart Auto League; Fifty-Plus Club of St. Martins; and was a perpetual member of the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate.
