She was born in Ft. Dodge, Iowa to Floyd James and Wava Elvira Jenison Thayer. She was married on January 27, 1946 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa to Darrell Wayne Bailey who survives in the home. Survivors include two sons, Bruce Bailey, Florissant; and Dale Bailey, San Diego, California; one daughter, Kathy Pingel, Jefferson City; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Eilers, Spencer, Iowa. She was a homemaker in her own home. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice. She received her education in Ft. Dodge, Iowa.
