Kenneth Raymond Luecke

Kenneth Raymond “Kenny” Luecke, 71, of Folk, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born August 17, 1952, in Jefferson City, the son of Raymond Joseph and Lydia Elizabeth (Stegeman) Luecke.

He was a 1970 graduate of Fatima High School.

Kenny was united in marriage on May 8, 1976, in Meta, Missouri to Mary Ann Brune who survives at the home.

Kenny co-owned and operated L & S Farms alongside his uncle for more than five decades. His dedication and hard work extended to his involvement in L & S Welding in Folk, where he specialized in crafting custom-built trailers.

A devout member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk, Kenny found joy in various sports, particularly in following MU Tigers, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs. His unwavering support for his grandchildren took him to countless sports games, often seen arriving at the ball fields on his beloved John Deere Gator.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but it was his deep-rooted passion for farming, riding his John Deere tractors, and raising Black Angus cattle that truly brought him fulfillment. The simple yet profound pleasure of witnessing the crops grow held a special place in Kenny's heart.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Luecke, Folk; five children, Cindy (Carl) Kliethermes, Loose Creek; Amy (Scott) Rademan, Folk; Brad (Danielle) Luecke, Folk; Kate (Ethan) Wieberg, Folk; Andy (Brook) Luecke, Folk; eleven grandchildren, Case Kliethermes, Cooper Kliethermes, Paige Rademan, Dalton Rademan, Dylan Luecke, Kyler Luecke, Bryce Wieberg, Rylie Wieberg, Myles Wieberg, Cora Luecke, Hank Luecke; and three siblings, Ambrose (Carol) Luecke, Folk; Leon (Lisa) Luecke, Folk; and Jerry (Mitzi) Luecke, Bland.

  4. Mary and Family,
Condolences to your family and prayers for Kenny and you all.
Going to school with Kenny, we played sports together mainly baseball in High School and softball at Folk. It was always a fun time and a small town like Folk who seemed to have a lot of good players. Kenny was always the Home Run King in the League as well as the League Tournament, which always help keep us in the hunt for the championship. Seeing Kenny hit homeruns at Folk, and onto the Highway 133 was always a joy. Seeing that big guy trot around the bases after a big blast with a grin from ear to ear, was always a time for another cold beer afterwards. He was a good person, on the field and off the field. I know we will all miss Kenny. Our memories of all the good times will always remain in our hearts……….until we meet again, may peace be with you my friend.
