Kristi Lynn Eiken, 61, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at her residence.

She was born May 18, 1958, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Leroy Ildephonse and Elsie Mae (Rapp) Strope.

A 1976 graduate of Helias High School, Kristi received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Southwest Missouri State University in 1980.

She was united in marriage on April 3, 1982, in Jefferson City to Gary Joseph Eiken, who survives at the home.

Kristi worked over thirty-seven years as an accountant for Abbott & Angerer, Certified Public Accountants.

She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; and St. Mary’s Auxiliary.

Kristi was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and watched every single game on television, even if they were losing. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, painting, and had a special talent for home decorating which she shared with her friends. Her favorite times were spent with her family and many friends.

Survivors include her husband, Gary; a son, Zach Joseph Eiken, Overland Park, Kansas; her mother, Elsie Strope, Jefferson City; a sister, Dara (Brent) Beemer, Olathe, Kansas; and three brothers, Craig (Karen) Strope, Hartsburg; Brad Strope, Chesterfield; and Ross (Gail) Strope, Jefferson City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Strope.

Visitation will be 8:30-10:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2019, at St. Peter Catholic Church.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Ignazio C. Medina officiating.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Susan G. Komen foundation.

  2. I met Kristi about 17 years ago thru the CPA firm. We hit it off instantly❤️ Her giggle and smile were just the best.   4. We were very fortunate to meet Kristie at St. Peter’s Church, she and Gary would sit next to us and she would keep me up to date with her treatments and how she was feeling. I admired her spirit, she was always upbeat and always had a smile. I was very sad to read of her passing but I know she is no longer suffering .

  6. I graduated with Kristi in High School. I remember she was on Homecoming court and a beautiful person. She always had a smile on her face and had a great personality. She will be missed dearly and prayers are coming your way for her and and your family.
