With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lana Wiebold a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on October 28, 1953, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Mancil and Frances (Theisen) Ash, she lived a life filled with kindness, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. At the age of 71, Lana Wiebold passed away peacefully at home, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and selflessness.
Lana Wiebold was a quiet yet powerful presence in the lives of everyone who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, offering a listening ear and words of wisdom that served as a guiding compass through life’s challenges. Her selflessness was unmatched—always putting others first, whether it was family, friends, or even strangers in need of a kind word or helping hand.
Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Whether cheering at games, traveling to rodeos, offering dating advice, or simply sharing a laugh over life’s silly moments, she was a constant source of love, encouragement, and unwavering support. She never missed a moment to be there for them, embodying the role of a true matriarch and anchor of the family.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy will continue through the lessons she imparted to those who loved her.
Early in life, Lana Wiebold pursued her passion for music as a singer in the band Ron Mahan & Lana Ash and the Country Lads. Her career reflected her dedication and versatility, with roles spanning multiple fields. She worked at Chesebrough-Ponds, the Missouri State Hospital, and GTE Data Services. Later, she served at Westphalia Retirement Center and Fatima School where she shared her talents as a cook and bus driver, leaving a lasting impact on those she served and worked with.
She is survived by children, Trenton (Hope) Wiebold, Stephanie Wiebold, Kiley (Larry) Reed; grandchildren, Veronica Wiebold, Austen Bland, Cooper Bland, Stevana Wixson, Rylea Wiebold, Blaine Wiebold; close friend, Teresa Wilson; siblings, Rick (Sylvia) Wilbers, Kay Schrimpf, Cheryl Wilson, Randy (Janet) Ash, Lisa (Vince) Schuster, Jill (Mark) Kepner, Troy (Anne) Ash; and in-law, Sue Ash. Her family will forever cherish her love, and the countless memories shared.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Dallen James Rackers; brothers, Gary Wilbers and Daryl Ash; and in-laws, Denny Schrimpf and Bill Wilson.
A celebration of Lana’s Life will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Spring Garden Baptist Church, 128 Opie Road, Olean, MO 65064. A reception will be held following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to help with expenses.

She was a lovely person and a good singer! We even recorded a record together. What fun that was!

Your mom was so much fun. We went through elementary and high school together. You all moved here to P.C.Fl. for awhile,(Stephanie borned here). Fun going to beach and Deer Point Lake. All You kids putting on plays in the yard at night. So many good memories.Lana always had something funny to say. She was a good friend. Love to your family.
