She was born in Brookfield to Jack Auguet Barnes and Lois Paxton Barnes. She was married on February 14, 1947 in Brookfield to Charles Maurice Parker who died on March 12, 1994. She is survived by two sons, John M. Parker and Tim Parker, both of Jefferson Ctiy; three grandchildren; and a sister, Sharon Freeman, Marceline. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ernestine Louise "Tina" Meyer. A homemaker, she had been employed with Jack and Jill Children's Clothing Store; Missouri Chamber of Commerce; Central Bank; was an administrative assistant to several members of the Missouri State Legislature; and was a teacher for twelve years with the Missouri Department of Corrections. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; the ladies circle of the Church; and St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice. She was a graduate of Brookfield High School and Lincoln University where she had also pursued graduate studies.
