Leonard J. Schulte, 61, of Osage Bend, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at University Hospital in Columbia. He was born on February 11, 1945, in Jefferson City, the son of Paul John and Emergine Elizabeth Wieberg Schulte. His mother survives in Osage Bend. He was married on May 29, 1965, in Jefferson City to Hilda Marie Schaffer who survives at the home. Mr. Schulte was employed with ABB for the last thirty-five years as a welder, welding instructor, and coil winder. A member of St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church in Osage Bend, he loved fishing and hunting. Other survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Juanita and Keith Libbert, Rich Fountain; Carrie Northway, Jefferson City; Paula and Alan Struemph, St. Elizabeth; Leigh Ann Green, Brumely; six sons and their wives, Leonard Pee Wee and Janet Schulte, Westphalia; William Joe and Cari Schulte, Jefferson City; Chris and Theresa Schulte, Henley; Stephen Turk Schulte, Henley, David and Tammi Schulte, Frankenstein; and Jason and Kelly Schulte, New York; six sisters and their husbands: Rita and Bobby Wolken, Osage Bend; Marilyn and Ronnie Deorhoff, Henley; Sharon and Charlie Rademan, Osage Bend; Joyce and Stephen Bauer, Jefferson City; Phyllis and Brian Bacon, Blue Springs; Jeanne and Chris Pliska, Osage Bend; three brothers and their wives, Sylvester and Cheryl Schulte, Olean; Leo and Kathy Schulte, St. Thomas; and Robert and Lynn Schulte, St. Thomas; seventeen grandchildren and five step grandchildren, Brian Wyrick, Justin Lake, Ashley Lake, Eric Schulte, Ashley Libbert, Paige Northway, Hunter Schulte, Kyle Schulte, Curtis Schulte, Caliann Hart, Danyelle Schulte, Destinee Schulte, KayCee Struemph, AJ Struemph, Alex Bax, Dusty Jo Green, Lane Green, Emily Northrip, Abigale Northrip, Anna Marie Schulte, JP Schulte, and Kourtnie Schulte. He was preceded in death by his father. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church, Osage Bend, with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Burial will be in the St. Margaret Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday Jan. 18, 2007 at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
