Leroy Anthony Buschjost, 72, of Wardsville, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Boone Hospital Center. He was born on Jan. 19, 1935, in Cole County, the son of Joseph Herman and Cecelia Anna Kolb Buschjost. He was married on June 9, 1956, in Wardsville to Betty Jean Siebeneck who died on July 4, 2004. Mr. Buschjost was employed as a salesman with International Harvester from 1956 to 1959; as a maintenance crew leader with the Missouri State Highway Department District Five from 1959 to 1989; and as Warehouse Manager with N.H. Scheppers Distributing Co. from 1989 to 1998. During his retirement he served as a funeral assistant with Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693; charter member of the Wardsville Lions Club; and a volunteer with Hospice of Jefferson City & Mid-Missouri. He loved gardening, lawn work, dancing, and being with people. He was proud of having traveled to all fifty states. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis L. and Pam Buschjost, Jefferson City; Gregory A. and Misty Buschjost, California, MO; and Mitchell B. Buschjost, Wardsville; six grandchildren, Brandie Buschjost, Kelli Buschjost, Megan Buschjost, Karsen Buschjost; Hayley Buschjost, and Lindsey Hammen; one brother and his wife, Victor and Marie Buschjost, Jefferson City; two sisters and their husbands, Gladys Ann and Bernard Lehman, St. Martins; and Margie and August Struemph, Wardsville; one daughter-in-law, Patricia P. Buschjost, Loveland, CO; one sister-in-law, Julie Buschjost, Wardsville; and a special friend, JoAnn Jaegers, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, Terry Gene Buschjost; one brother, Leonard Buschjost; and two infant brothers, Clarence and Paul Buschjost. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville, with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Entombment will be in St. Stanislaus Mausoleum, Wardsville. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21st, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 6418 Route W, Jefferson City, MO 65101; St. Stanislaus Catholic School, 6410 Route W, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or Hospice of Jefferson City & Mid-Missouri, 601 E.
