Leslie John Brown, 59, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at his residence. He was born April 9, 1948, in Jefferson City, the son of Robert William and Mary Augusta Cuccarallo Brown. A graduate of St. Thomas Seminary High School, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Astronomy from the University of Kansas and a Master in Physics degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. Mr. Brown was a consultant with Carfax, Inc. in Columbia. He was a U.S. Navy veteran obtaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, motorcycles, scuba diving, astronomy, and cats. Survivors include, two sisters and their husbands, Theresa and Mark Sullivan, Jefferson City; and Louise and Jay Evertt, St. Louis; two brothers and their wives, Richard and Ginger Brown, Colorado Springs, CO; and Ken and Joan Brown, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond Brown. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Adamek officiating. Burial with military honors will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 4th, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
