Lewis William “Lewie” Hodge, 50, of Freeburg, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Jefferson City.

He was born May 3, 1972, in Tuscumbia, Missouri, the son of William Dale and Rose Marie (Landreth) Hodge.

Lewie was a 1990 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School.

He was united in marriage on September 18, 1993, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth to Gina Lynn Kemna who survives.

Lewie worked for Von Hoffman Press, Capital City Chrysler, Forklifts of Central Missouri, and most recently as a diesel mechanic for Kemna Leasing.

Lewie loved to woodwork, go on camping trips, watch youtube highlights, and BBQ for family and friends.  He was the family handyman; Lewie was who you called when you needed help. He especially loved being a family man; a loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Gina Hodge, Freeburg; 2 daughters, Kaitlin Hodge and Megan Hodge, both of Jefferson City; his parents, William and Rose Hodge, St. Elizabeth; two siblings, Amanda Blackerby and Matthew Hodge, both of St. Elizabeth; 5 nephews, 3 nieces, 2 great nieces, numerous friends, and a Slawdog.

Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City.

Memorials are suggested to Lewie’s family (in care of Gina Hodge) for a future benefit.

Lewie, you shall be very missed by us and your visits to our shop on a weekly basis and the talks about family and what ever else going on at the moment. To his daughters we can honestly say he was very proud of both of you and liked to brag about your acomplishments and we hope you have comfort in knowing about it.
