Lillian Marie Fountain Flowers, 86, Jefferson City, died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on July 16, 1921, in Durham, MO, the daughter of Floyd Merrell and Louetta Jones Fountain. She married Chalmer Norris Flowers on November 27, 1947, in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1999. She was also the widow of Gordan Lee Lindsey, a decorated war veteran, killed in action during World War II. Lillian worked for many years at St. Peter After School Care and was co-owner of Flowers Travel Inc. of Jefferson City. She lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, but especially loved her family and friends. Survivors include: two daughters and two sons-in-law, Janice Flowers and Fred Buckhold Jr., St. Louis; Angie Flowers and David Walsh, Holts Summit; one son, Norris Lee Flowers, Gettysburg, PA; five grandchildren, Andrew Norris and Jill Flowers; Sara and Nathan Arunski; Dr. Fred and Gretchen Buckhold III.; Jessica and Ben Sanford; Adam and Bethany Walsh; six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Martha Chrisman; and four nieces, Naida Dunn, Ann Corbett, Sandye Goodger, and Joyce Chrisman. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday Nov. 5, 2007 at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. John Hobratschk, officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Children Hospital, 2001 South Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
