Lillian Merle Talken, 76, of St. Martins, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006 at her residence. She was born on July 26, 1930 in Holts Summit, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Trixie Roselle Hafey Moore. Mrs. Talken attended New Bloomfield High School. She was married on Oct. 16, 1949 in Rhineland, MO to Louis Anton Talken who died on Dec. 22, 1980. Mr. and Mrs. Talken owned and operated for thirty-five years the Junction 17 Store and later she worked at Fasco Corporation for sixteen years before retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Pat Talken, Eldon; David and Marge Talken, Jefferson City; and Donald Talken, Eugene; three daughters and their husbands, Linda and Tom Block, Centertown; Sandy Graham, and Barb and Tom Wilde, all of Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Edgar Moore, Shelbina, MO. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Moore; and four sisters, Zella Miller, Betty Hake, Jessie Lepper, and Martha Colter. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Our Lady of Snows Cemetery, Marys Home, MO at a later date. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic School Building Fund, 7206 St. Martins Ave., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
