LOIS ANNE BURD PAPEN

Lois Anne Papen, 41, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, May 12, 2006, at University Hospital, Columbia, MO, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on Nov. 26, 1964 in Jefferson City to Maurice Lee and Dorothy Anne Distler Burd. She was married on May 21, 2005 in Jefferson City to Michael Andrew (Andy) Papen who survives at the home. A 1983 graduate of Jefferson City High School, she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Columbia College in 1997. Mrs. Papen was an Underwriting Services Assistant for State Farm Insurance Company in Columbia. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Lois loved spending time with her family, traveling, spending quiet evenings at home, and taking care of her grey parrot. She was loved by her family and many friends, and adored by her husband. Survivors include her father, Maurice Lee Burd, Jefferson City; one sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Carl Stokes, Jefferson City; one niece, Mikayla Stokes, and one nephew, Joshua Stokes, both of Jefferson City; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Carmen Papen, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her mother. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan and the Rev. Steve Burbee officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 16th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to The Special Learning Center, 1115 Fairgrounds Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or American Heart Association, POB 1653, Topeka, KS. 66601-1653.
