I worked with Lois at exchange bank in 1995-2000. She was a very sweet lady. Prayers to her family.

Lois Dean “Aunt Dean” Garnett, 90, of Centertown, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
She was born September 12, 1934, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Henry Clyde and Edith Mae (Crutsinger) Garnett.
Aunt Dean worked for over 40 years for Exchange Bank (Hawthorn Bank) in the accounting department. She was a member of Centertown Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and as the church’s bookkeeper for many years. Family genealogy was very important to Aunt Dean and helped to care for the Garnett Family Cemetery serving as the Treasurer. She had a great fondness for her family, especially her great-great nephew, Blake. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Survivors include three nephews, Duane (Bonita) Matheis, Rocky Mount; Danny Matheis; Daryl (Rebecca) Matheis, Russellville; four great-nieces; many great-great nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Alice Dudenhoeffer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mary Catherine (Larry) Matheis.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City. Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Centertown Cemetery.
