Loretta Ann Steinkuehler
May 28, 1941 ~ September 25, 2020
Loretta was born on May 28, 1941, east of Tipton, MO. Her parents were Fred and Pauline Ann (Belo) Koechner. Her parents and three sisters, Geraldine Koechner, Dorothy (Bill) Dahlstein, and Carol (Alvin) Marcum all preceded her in death.
Loretta attended grade school at St. Andrews Catholic School at Tipton, MO. She graduated from Tipton High School. After high school, she attended College in Springfield, MO.
On August 1, 1964, Loretta married Leland Steinkuehler of Concordia, MO. They lived in St Joseph, MO, Oklahoma City, OK, and Jefferson City, MO.
She worked for the Missouri State Agriculture Department. Loretta subsequently worked for the Missouri Cole County Government for 20 years as the county’s deputy auditor, and then finance officer for the county, retiring in 2001.
She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Loretta enjoyed reading and doing cross stitch.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Leland; a son, Mark David and wife Teresa (Kimberlin) Steinhuehler, Centertown; a daughter, Constance Ann and husband Kurt Squire, Irvine, CA; five grandchildren, Jessica and Keith Wilson, Kyle Steinkuehler, Olivia Steinkuehler, Walter Squire, and Warner Squire; and five great-grandchildren.
Loretta was a wonderful, loving, and talented person. Loretta and her mother both died of Alzheimer’s.
A private funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City with the Rev. Louis M. Nelen of the Cathedral of St. Joseph officiating.

Private burial will be in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Tipton, MO, following the funeral service.
Memorials are suggested the Jefferson City Rape and Abuse Crisis Center.
