The memories I have of him & with him are all good & happy memories. I am sadden to hear he has passed away. I know he is in a better place & happy. 3. My heart breaks for Kathy, Jennifer, Amy and Families. He loved you all dearly and you were his reason for living.
Jr was also one of the most honest and hardest working individuals I have ever known. His love for his customers and service were seen every day in his commitment in taking care of them, night and day.
I so enjoyed working w him and learned sooo much from him.
May God touch and Bless each of you at the loss of this wonderful man. You all were blessed to call him husband and dad…

  4. Very sorry to hear of your family’s loss. Jr was a great man and and always had a smile. He was always kind and interested / helping, I and my twin Brad remember him well well from our youth with him at Ready Gas and Gasco. Just a very Nice/ Kind man. Prayers to your family in this difficult time.

  5. Kathy and girls, Eddie Simmons assigned Jr. To teach me the propane driver duites on my first day of work at Gasco way back in the nineteen hundreds. Jr made a point to share his faith and his love for his family. He made it clear that those were the most important things to him in this life.he was so generous with sharing his knowledge of the propane business and how to apply it to the craft. From the mechanics to customer relations. He had it going on. Thanks Jr. You’re a good man and, I’m Shure that the great architect of the universe will take that in account when you arrive to that celestial world. God bless you brother and travel well.

  6. My dad Curt Shikles was Juniors older brother. He passed away in August of 2019. And I miss that old man every day…..
I believe that was the last time I saw Junior. I’m older now. As we all are. But I have to tell you. It’s hard to watch as the people who were larger than life, and bullet proof, it seemed when you were a kid. Start to slow down and age as time catches up with them. Because it’s a glimpse into your own future … When I was a boy, all those years ago, Every time I saw Junior. He had a smile on his face. And he was trying to put one on yours. He went out of his way to include me in everything. He got down on my level. He talked to me, and treated me, like I was a grown up. His dad, my grandpa, Loyd Sr. Showed me how to drive. But Junior took me driving all across the countryside. He made a tall, skinny, lonely kid. Feel like he was somebody…just one of the guys. Something I really needed. And something I will never forget until I pass from this earth… Most adults don’t think kids listen to them. Or remember what they do. But I truly think Junior knew different.
I’ve never told anyone about any of this before. But I wanted his wife Kathy and their daughters. To know that there was a lot more to Junior than met the eye. He was a good and kind man…. Even when nobody was looking. And that is a special thing
