Marcella “Marce” Wieberg, 92, of Westphalia passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 surrounded by her family.

She was born April 17, 1932 in Westphalia to the late Frank and Marie (Pfitzner) Huhn. Growing up on the family farm and one of nine children, Marce learned the value of hard work and organization. After graduating from St. Joseph High School in Westphalia, Marce met the love of her life, Larry Wieberg. They were married on October 10, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia. Marce and Larry made their home in Westphalia, raising their three daughters, Delores, Karen and Judy. 

 Marce worked for International Shoe Factory from 1953 to 1967. In 1967 she began working at the Missouri Dental Association until her retirement in 1980. Never one to sit still, Marce enjoyed working part time in the cafeteria at Fatima High School until her “second retirement” in 1994. A lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marce was involved in St. Ann’s Sewing Circle and volunteered at the church picnics. In her leisure time, you could find her watching Cardinal baseball, doing quilt work or playing Ten Point Pitch with her family and friends. Marcy loved to travel and always looked forward to her annual trips with her daughters. 

Survivors include her three daughters; Delores (Jerry) Sinquefield of Columbia, Karen (Phil) Wulff of Columbia, Judy (Andy) Massman of Westphalia, four grandchildren; Aaron (Michelle) Schwartze, Rachel (Heikki) Kangas, Audrey (Paul) Burns, Nathan ( Lanette) Schwartze, and one step grandson; Christopher (Melanie) Massman, and eight great grandchildren; Nathan, Emma and Keegan Schwartze, Viivi and Minna Kangas, Ivan, Felix and Baron Burns, two step great grandchildren, Clara and Chloe Massman and seven siblings; Clara Fennewald of Florissant, MO, Lorene Wasinger of Ballwin, MO, Cletus (Alice) Huhn of Orlando, FL, Mary Graessle of Westphalia, Alice (Joe) Faron of New Melle, MO, Rita Wagner of Sunset Hills, MO and Rose Ann (Gary) Buehler of St. Charles, MO. Marce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry, sister; Mildred and husband, Linus Rudruff and four brothers-in-law; Joe Fennewald, Marion Wasinger, John “Jack” Graessle and Richard Wagner.

Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2024 at Trimble Funeral Home-Westphalia, Mo. from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary being prayed at 3:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia. Reverend Dylan Schrader will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

  5. We are so sorry for your loss. We have so many wonderful memories of Marce and Larry from visiting out on the farm. Your families hospitality was always the best, from just visiting to getting in a saddle for ride around the pasture. We will truly miss her.
