Margaret Ann Burmeister, 92, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at her residence.
She was born February 25, 1925, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Victor Herman and Bertha Magadaline Cecilia (Schell) Dulle.
She was a 1943 graduate of St. Peter's High School.
She was united in marriage on August 30, 1947, in Jefferson City to Grayson Griswold Burmeister who died August 27, 1989.
A homemaker, she also worked ten years as St. Joseph Catholic School cafeteria coordinator.
She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, it's Women's Association, and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post No. 5.
Margaret loved being with her family and friends, traveling, playing cards, dancing, walking, and exploring genealogy. Friday nights were frequently spent at the American Legion with family and friends.
She is survived by her ten children: Patti (Marty) Bauer, Overland Park, KS; Lori (Alan) Peidt, Lake Ozark; Angie Hutson, Jefferson City; Donna (John) Sloan, Scottsdale, AZ; Mark (Mary) Burmeister, Springfield, MO; Steve (Janet) Burmeister, Kansas City, MO; Jeff (Becky) Burmeister, Raytown, MO; Brent (Kathy)Burmeister, Oak Grove, MO; Tim (Cindy) Burmeister, Jefferson City; Harvey Burmeister, St. Louis; one daughter-in-law, Patty Burmeister, Jefferson City; 28 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a companion of twenty-five years, Don Wunderlich.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grayson Burmeister; two sons, Rev. Jeremiah Burmeister and Tom Burmeister; five sisters, Thelma Peterson, Mildred Jordan, Dorothy Dallas, Mary Dolores Dulle, Rosemary Bennett; and two brothers, Cletus Dulle and Louis Dulle.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, March 24th at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, March 25th at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
