Margaret Augusta Reinkemeyer, 81, of Argyle, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018, after receiving her final rites from Fr. James Finder at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 16, 1936, in St. Martins, Missouri, the daughter of the late Mathias and Mary (Welch) Distler.

She was united in marriage on October 25, 1958, in St. Martins, Missouri to Jerome Casper Reinkemeyer who survives at the home.

Margaret was known for being an outstanding cook, gardener, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Mizzou basketball fan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She also spent many years helping care for many young children through her daughters daycares, always making them special treats.

Margaret never knew a stranger and had many dear friends she made through the years while cooking at Maries Manor and several local restaurants.

She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Argyle and the St. Anns Sodality.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jerome Reinkemeyer, Argyle; nine children, Carol (Kenny) Krieg, Rich Fountain; Linda (Don) Mebruer, Rich Fountain; Joan Reinkemeyer, Jefferson City; Lisa Bullock (Derek Stuecken), Freeburg; Jeralyn (Mike) Siebeneck, Westphalia; Gary Reinkemeyer, Argyle; Glen (Tasha) Reinkemeyer, Jefferson City; Paula (Scott) Berhorst, Westphalia; Kathy (Matt) Plassmeyer, Westphalia; 18 grandchildren, Mitchell Krieg, Megan (Stephen) Campbell, Shawn (Kristin) Mebruer, Whitney (Brian) Blauvelt, Cassandra Backues, Kristin (Caleb) Groner, Clayton Bullock, Candace (Efraim) Arcaya; Cadi Bullock, Carson Bax, Ryan Mebruer, Morgan Berhorst, Macy Berhorst, Hunter Reinkemeyer, Madison Berhorst, Connor Reinkemeyer, Chase Plassmeyer, Kaitlyn Plassmeyer; extended grandchildren, Colin Stuecken, Chelsea (Jesse) Hughes, Paige Siebeneck; nine great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Abel, Khloe, Rokzen, Ezden, Emma, Emmett, Easton, Wyatt, and another due in December; and two sisters, Lillian Veit and Loretta Brauner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Mart Distler; one sister, Annie Brauner; and two granddaughters, Tiffany Mebruer and Makayla Plassmeyer.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2018, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Argyle with a prayer service at 3 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating.

Burial will be in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Masses or to the wishes of Margaret Reinkemeyers family.
