Margaret Elizabeth "Motzie" Schmitz
September 2, 1911 ~ January 21, 2003
She was born in Wardsville to Peter Schrimpf and Mary Westerman Schrimpf. She was married on March 4, 1930 in Jefferson City to Tobias William Schmitz who died on November 15, 1983. Survivors include three sons, Alfred H. Schmitz, Frank W. Schmitz, and Kenneth B. Schmitz, all of Jefferson City; one daughter, Mary D. Noonan, Jefferson City; twenty grandchildren; and thirty-nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Carol Ann Schmitz and Frances Schmitz. She was a homemaker and was employed with International Shoe Factory for four years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; St. Ann's Sodality; and St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Masses; or the Birthright Association.
