Margaret Mary (Deeken) Kroeger, 76, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born May 1, 1948, the daughter of William J. Sr. and Ruby (Coogan) Deeken.

Margaret graduated from St. Peter Elementary School and Helias High School. She later attended Business School in Kansas City, Missouri.

On November 16, 1968, in Jefferson City, she married Freddie L. Kroeger, who preceded her in death. To this marriage, three children were born.

Margaret lived in Jefferson City all of her life and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was also a member of the CHIRP Organization and the Ladies Sodality.

She was employed with the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and N.H. Scheppers Distributing Company for many years.

Margaret liked to play cards, dance, and play with her grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She liked to travel with her wonderful companion William Sloan who proceeded her in death.

Survivors include three children, Kristina L. (Kroeger) Bunch (David) of Eldon, David A. Kroeger (Terri) of Jefferson City, Kimberly S. (Kroeger) Contreras (Jose) of Hazelwood, MO; six grandchildren, Jacob Bartness (Totianna Gonzalez), Eldon, MO; Kara Larson, Hazelwood, MO; Marcus Larson, Beauford, SC; Zacc Larson, Hazelwood, MO; Juliet Kroeger, Jefferson City, MO; Lyric Kroeger, Jefferson City, MO; three great grandchildren, Skylar Bartness, Hunter Bartness, and Jaxson Bartness and one on the way; and one brother, William (Mary) Deeken Jr. of Jefferson City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Deeken.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki, VG officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Special Olympics or Cole County Senior Nutrition Center.
