Marie Catherine Schon, 87, of Jefferson City, MO, died Monday, April 3, 2006, at Jefferson City Manor Care. She was born on June 8, 1918 in Arcadia, IA, the daughter of Henry and Gertrude Schroeder. She was married on Sept. 22, 1936 in Arcadia, IA to John Michael Schon who died on Dec. 8, 1997. John and Marie celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1996. Long time residents of Lytton, IA, Marie and John owned Lytton Hatchery & Produce, participating in many local community activities during their years there. In 1969 the couple relocated to Phoenix, AZ where they owned Marney Wines & Liquor for fifteen years. Marie was an active partner in both businesses, expertly managing the bookkeeping and office activities. She was a longtime active member of St. Simon & Jude Cathedral, Phoenix, AZ. Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Connie L. Schon, Omaha, NE; Carol J. and Jerry McClung, Phoenix, AZ; and Barbara J. Orcutt, Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Christine M. Lopez and her husband, Michael; Erin K. Kirkhardt and her husband, Craig; Danielle C. Orcutt; and John R. Orcutt; and three great-grandchildren, Caitlin Lopez; Mikayla Lopez; and Megan Kirkhardt. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Julia Vanderheiden; Florence Morgan; Frances Wolterman; Pauline Hamilton; Lorraine Schleismann; and Margaret Chitwood. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2006, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Jefferson City, with the Rev. Donald W. Lammers officiating. Entombment will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 10th, in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, Phoenix, AZ. Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 6th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N.
