  1. Marie was one of our mom’s best friends from school. She was such a nice lady and wow, quite accomplished! To Jim and Cari, please accept condolences from the Margy Meyer family in Perryville (Joe, Ann, Jane, John, Marsha, Jean Ellen and Cari).

  2. Marie was an amazing mentor and awesome friend. 💜 Jim, Cari, Martha, Jessie, John, Archer and all extended Family: Praying for your strength during this difficult time.

  3. I would like to share a little story about Marie. Years ago I was the marketing manager for Missouri River Home Health and Marie served on our Board of Directors. One time she and I were talking about insomnia (don’t ask me what brought on this topic). She looked at me with a little twinkle and said, ” Oh, Pat! A finger of whiskey and a half of a bologna sandwich puts me right back to sleep!” We shared a good laugh over that advice. I can’t tell you how often I have shared that story and always give Marie credit! She was an amazing woman! To the Skain Family: I hope all the wonderful stories and memories bring you peace, and a few laughs, in the days ahead. May her memory always be a blessing.

  4. Jim, Cari, Marha, Jessie, John and Ardher; When someone special touches our hearts, they are never truly gone. They are in our hearts forever. Wishing you comfort and peace. Tom & Debra Sturm

  5. Jim, Martha and Cari,
Doug and I were saddened to hear about your mother, and wanted to let you know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

  6. The Missouri Daughters of Isabella send our condolences to the family of our former State Regent, Marie Skain. Marie served as State Regent for 4 years from 1993-1997 and we are grateful and blessed that she was a part of our Order. May our Lord grant her eternal rest and may she live in His presence eternally.
