MARION LOUISE JONES

Marion Louise Jones, 59, of Jefferson City, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at her residence. She was born on April 13, 1947, in Jefferson City, the daughter of David Marion and Marie Elizabeth Vetter Jones. Her mother survives in Jefferson City. She attended St. Peter Grade School from 1956 to 1962 and graduated from Helias High School in 1966. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Marion was employed with Von Hoffman Press for ten years; Payless Shoe Store for seven years; and served in the dietary department at St. Joseph Home for the Aged for twenty-two years. Marion brought laughter to many of the residents, sisters, and people with whom she worked at the home. She was loved by the Carmelite Sisters who managed St. Joseph Home and was pleased to be invited to visit with them at their house in Owensboro, KY. Marion enjoyed visiting her uncle in Ironton, MO, and friends at Saint Marie du Lac parish there. She would get especially excited at seeing Gods little critters in the yard or wherever she went. Marion also enjoyed getting away to the gaming boats with Debbie and Luwanda. She was devoted to caring for her mommie for the past several months during her mothers recent illness. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Other survivors include one brother, Tom B. Jones, Jefferson City; one sister, Betty A. Markway and her husband, Steve, Jefferson City; one niece, Katie Markway, Eldon, MO; and one nephew, Robert Markway, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Robert Carl Jones. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church with Msgr. Donald W. Lammers officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan 25th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church, 216 Broadway, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or Helias Foundation, POB 694, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0694.
