Marjorie Clare Schoenen, 77, of Westphalia, died Sunday, April 6, 2008, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on Aug. 12, 1930, in Westphalia, to Harry Leo and Agnes G. Lueckenhoff Ilse. She was a 1948 graduate of Westphalia High School. Mrs. Schoenen was employed from 1954-1961 with Ellis Stone Department Store in Greensboro, NC; from 1961-1964 with Western Carolina Hatchery in Morganton, N.C.; and for several years as a cook with Bobs Fill-Up in Westphalia. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia; Westphalia Senior Citizens; Westphalia Historical Society; and volunteered at St. Joseph Catholic School. Survivors include one sister, Mary Louise Berendzen, Jefferson City; one sister-in-law, Joan Ilse Link, Lincolnton, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harry Ilse and William Ilse; and one brother-in-law, Norbert Berendzen. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. Philip M. Kane officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 9th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Catholic School, P.O.
