Mary Agnes Curran, 89, formerly of Cumberland, Rhode Island, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Summit Villa in Holts Summit. She was born on February 2, 1915 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, the daughter of John Joseph and Mary Agnes Mullaney Curran. Survivors include one sister, Ellen Curran Hillman, Holts Summit; one niece and her husband, Maryanne and David Danforth, Jefferson City; one nephew and his wife, Kenneth and Theresina Hillman, Lajas, Puerto Rico; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; five great-great-nieces; and six great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donors choice. She was a graduate of North Attleboro High School and was capped as a Registered Nurse by Sturdy Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Miss Curran was a First Lieutenant with the U.S. Army Nurses Corps during World War II where she was stationed in England. Miss Curran was employed with Health Services of University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut, for ten years; and with Leviton Manufacturing Company, Providence, Rhode Island, for fifteen years. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Holts Summit; and a former member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Cumberland, Rhode, Island.
