Mary Frances Fryer, 79, of Jefferson City, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was born June 23, 1941, in St. James, Missouri to the late Ward Cecil and Irma Laura (Gray) Rinehart.

A 1959 graduate of St. James High School, Mary received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri.

She was married on February 9, 1963 in St. James, Missouri to Kenneth Eugene Fryer who survives at the home.

A homemaker, Mary was an elementary education teacher for many years.

She was a member of the Capital City Christian Church; Beta Sigma Phi; and a Daughter of the American Revolution.

Mary loved to play cards, read, paint, travel, and was well known for sending thousands of handmade cards to relatives and friends. Her favorite time was spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; three daughters, Tammy Marlotte, St. Louis; Heidi (Joe) Parker, St. Louis; and Susan (Keith) Ferrell, Wardsville; six grandchildren, Trey Norton, Rachel Hale, Sarah Ferrell, Jacob Ferrell, Carlie Ferrell, and Emily Parker; and a sister, Pam (Jim) Butery, St. James.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Kent Fryer.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a Beta Sigma Phi Service at 2:45 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Fankhauser officiating. The service will be live streamed for those who wish to watch from home. The link can be found on Mary’s obituary page under Tribute Wall at www.dulletrimble.com.

Burial will be 1 p.m., Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the Oak Grove Cemetery in St. James, Missouri.

Memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House in Columbia, Missouri or to Cystic Fibrosis of Missouri.
