Mary Margaret Young, 66, Jefferson City, died Friday, November 16, 2007, at her residence. She was born on June 28, 1941, in Alliance, Neb. the daughter of William Llewellyn and Thelma Margaret Farnsworth Howell. She was married on June 14, 1985 in Wardsville to Guy Bradley Young. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1991. Margaret was a 1959 graduate of Hyannis High School and a 1964 graduate of St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. In her early years, she was the Editor in Chief with the magazine LabWorld in New York City. She also worked for Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. From 1974 until her retirement in 2001, Margaret worked for the Missouri Department of Health as a supervisor for lab certifications for the state of Missouri. Margaret was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and had currently been attending the Cathedral of St. Joseph. She was the first executive director for Dreams to Reality, a board member for the Missouri River Region Library, and a board member of the Missouri State Health Employees Credit Union. She was a volunteer instructor for ABEL Learning Center, substitute teacher for public and parochial elementary schools, a member of Christian College Student of Gregorian Chant, and a member of Zonta International. She was an accomplished floutist and pianist. Survivors include: one sister, Sandy Mundy, Riverton, Wyo; twelve cousins, Kay Sofian; Anne Munger, who was Margarets care giver; Mary Catherine Rock; Teresa Rock; Madeline and Harold Daniels; Roger Egan; Tom Egan; John Heelan; Tom Heelan; Connie Starke; Teresa Johnson; and Pat and Brigid McCauley; six nieces and spouses, Monica and Gary Fulton; Meg and Walt Strauch; Beth and Kevin Goff; Mariane and Mike Culek; Mollie Mundy; and Rachel Mundy; seven nephews and spouses, Christopher and Cindy Rohde; Kevin and Connie Rohde; Mitchell and Sharon Rohde; Brother Augustine Rohde; Lawrence and Wendy Rohde; Justin Mundy; and Emanuel Mundy; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Rohde. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant brother, a sister Kathryn Rose Rohde, and a nephew, Matthew Rohde, whos wife Suzette still survives. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Brendan Doyle officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to ABEL Learning Center, 214 E.
