She was born in Kensett, Arkansas to Henry Haines Smith and Willie T. Goodlow Smith. She was married on October 19, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Arthur Richardson who preceded her in death. She was married in 1960 in Denver, Colorado, to Addison Crump Williams who preceded her in death. Survivors include two sisters, Alice Williams and Hattie Bogard, both of Jefferson City; a niece, Bessye M. Williams, Jefferson City, who took care of her; three great-nephews, Stanley Williams, Reginald Williams, and Kenneth Shaw, all of Jefferson City; two great-nieces, Lisa Williams, Jefferson City; and Tracy Hawkins, Cincinnati, Ohio; and three great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; one brother; and one sister. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Denver, Colorado, and attended Second Baptist Church, Jefferson City. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Ft. Smith, Arkansas She was a housekeeper for private families in Denver, Colorado for many years until moving to Jeferson City in 1996.
