She was born in Jefferson City to Frank Joseph and Henrietta Bemboom Rackers. She was married on December 15, 1934 in Jefferson City to Harold Clarence Shelton who died on Septmember 3, 1974. Survivors include one son, Harold C. Shelton, Jr., Mt. Vernon, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Rackers, Jefferson City; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Fennewald; and a grandson, Thomas Shelton. She was emplyed for twenty-two years with International Shoe Company, and with the Missouri Department of Revenue for nineteen years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; St. Ann's Sodality; Immaculata Club; St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary; and the Legion of Mary.
