She was born in Jefferson City to John and Lena Freeman Swillum. She was married in Jefferson City to Omer John Hagner who survives at the home. Survivors include one son, Gary J. Hagner, Jefferson City; two daughters, Marilyn A. Hoffman and Sharon M. "Sheri" Wintermeyer, both of Jefferson City; five grandchildren, Sheila Bolin, Sherry Lynn Thomas, Dana Kohl, Chandra Custard, and Matthew Hagner; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant children and five sisters. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.
