Mayme Elizabeth Eichholz, 92, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at St. Josephs Home for the Aged. She was born on August 22, 1911, in St. Thomas, the daughter of Herman Gerard and Catherine Marie Wilbers Thessen. She was married on November 26, 1940, in Jefferson City, to Lawrence Henry Eichholz who died on January 18, 1993. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Hilda Eichholz, Wardsville; Allen and Diana Eichholz, Jefferson City; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffrey and Wendy Eichholz, Rogers, Arkansas; Leanne and Kurtis Kampeter, Wardsville; Douglas and Jayna Eichholz, West Des Moines, Iowa; and Brian Eichholz and his fiance, Katie Taylor, St. Louis; three great-grandchildren, Megan and Amanda Eichholz, Rogers, Arkansas, and Jack Eichholz, West Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Erma Heislen, Jefferson City; and fifty-seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Thessen and Lee Thessen; and four sisters, Ida Goble, Rose Strope Lehmen, Johanna Kaiser, and Flora Kemna. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2004, at St. Joseph Cathedral with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Helias Foundation, POB 694, Jefferson City, MO 65102; or Carmelite Monastery, 2201 West Main, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
