Melissa Patrick Pat Schulte, 95, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at The Timbers in Holts Summit. She was born Mary 23, 1923 in Flippin, Arkansas, the daughter of the late John Grover Cleveland and Dovie (Poplin) Waggoner. She was married on August 9, 1958, in Jefferson City, to Lester Simon Chub Schulte, who preceded her in death on September 28, 2006. Pat was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for over sixty years. She was an avid bowler and had a passion for gambling on the boats with her friends. She enjoyed reading, doing all sorts of handwork, quilting, and was a faithful Cardinal fan. Survivors include a son John P. (Betty R.) Rucker, Sr., Jefferson City; two grandchildren, John Patrick Rucker, Jr., Eldon; Rebecca Lynn Rucker, Jefferson City; and two great-grandchildren, Brett Anthony Rucker and Trevor Ambrose Rucker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her first great-grandson, Keith Alan Rucker; six brothers, infant Scott Waggoner, Bill Waggoner, Earl Waggoner, Preston Pood Waggoner, Joe Waggoner, Bernie Waggoner; and three sisters, Ruth ODonnell, Mamie Sapp, and Nina Sue Brester. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Deacon Kenny Wildhaber officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1206 E. McCarty St., Jefferson City; or to the Special Learning Center, 1115 Fairgrounds Rd., Jefferson City, Mo 65109.   1. Sorry for you loss, I am Activity Director at the Timbers, enjoyed visiting with her tell me about her casino wins. Unfortunately I am unable to make visitation or funeral on Saturday.. But please know that i am very sorry, and we will miss her dearly, all of you are in our thoughts and prayers

  3. So sorry to hear this. Pat was such a good person – I always enjoyed traveling to Boonville with her and my sister, Lena. They were quite a pair. Always had a good time at the casino – win or lose. She will now be back with Chub and I am sure he will welcome her with open arms. They were such a wonderful couple. Will be praying for her and all of her family.

  4. My mother, Bernadine Sullivan, and I extend our deepest sympathies to all of Pat’s family. Our families lives were forever entwined due to Chub’s service in WWII with my father, Dennis Sullivan from Kentucky. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
