Nicola Marlene Grimshaw, 56, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, February 24, 2005, at her residence. She was born on Nov. 19, 1948 in Moberly, MO, the daughter of Robert William and Dorris Elizabeth Ridgeway Bauer who survive in Moberly. A 1966 graduate of St. Elizabeth Academy in St. Louis, Nicola received a Bachelors Degree in 1970 from the University of Missouri. She was employed for over thirty with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources where she served as Research Analyst. Nicola attended St. Peter Catholic Church and enjoyed nature, cats, reading, cooking, and her beloved dog, Rocket. She was known for her generosity and concern for others. Other survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Brenda Bauer, Clifton Hill, MO; a niece, Rebecca Bauer, Moscow Mills, MO; and a nephew, Rob Bauer, Columbia, MO. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Friends may greet the family at a luncheon to follow the Mass in the Parish Life Center at St. Peter Catholic Church. Memorials are suggested to an animal shelter of the donors choice.
